Some large-format printing companies have their origins in the screen-printing industry, others in the sign making world, and still others in the commercial photo lab sector. Portland Color comes from the photo industry, and brings the values and standards of photographic printing to the task of producing signs, banners, and graphics. The people deciding whether or not a product is 'good enough' to send out learned their craft judging fine-art photos, not 2-color lawn signs or t-shirts. We at Portland Color have a deep belief that quality is of utmost importance, and we do not produce work to a diminished standard.
When we hire people to work at Portland Color, we choose the best we can find. We assess our staff by their ability to commit to our core values and beliefs. We strive for long-term client relationships, not short-term profit, and the key to building those relationships is based in honesty and integrity.
We expect our employees to be flexible, friendly, and knowledgeable. Our mission is to produce high-quality products, error-free, and on-time.
When we choose equipment, we make our decisions based on whether the machine represents the best of its class, and will allow us to advance our goal of better quality and value for our customers. We believe in having redundancy in our equipment, so that our customers will never be faced with hearing "the machine broke down" as an excuse for why a promised job isn't ready.
The combination of carefully chosen equipment, continuous learning, and high standards are the hallmarks of our on-going commitment to quality.
